Position Overview:
The TFE Engine Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of Honeywell TFE series engines (e.g., TFE731) in accordance with OEM specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards. This role ensures engine reliability, safety, and serviceability to support fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform receiving inspections, documentation review, and visual condition checks.
- Disassemble TFE731 engines and modules in accordance with OEM procedures.
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections per engine manual.
- Document findings and coordinate part disposition with QA and Engineering.
- Repair, assemble, and build engine modules (Fan, LPC, HPC, Turbine, Gearbox).
- Install and rig engine accessories, actuators, and fuel controls.
- Complete final engine assembly within required tolerances.
- Support engine testing including troubleshooting and performance adjustments.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, work orders, and traceability documentation.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain shop housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; AMT school preferred.
- A&P Certificate preferred.
- 2–5 years turbofan engine experience (TFE731 preferred).
- Knowledge of FAA Part 145 repair station regulations.
